Meet Ben Price

I’m proud to have been a FOD member for more that 5 years.  I originally joined to support the organization’s Scholarship Program, which benefits San Diego City College.  Helping students become prepared for a fulfilling career is one important way I can assist these individuals to grow, support their families and ultimately benefit our community.  Especially after meeting many of these students over the years, I’m even more passionate about contributing to this program.  

My Career

I’ve been in commercial banking, real estate and business lending in a variety of capacities for over 25 years. Currently, I’m Vice President, Commercial Banking for Torrey Pines Bank with particular expertise in construction & permanent financing, and lines of credit. I have more than 15 years of experience in business banking and C&I lending and serve a wide range of business and real estate clients.

My FOD Involvement

Because I have a business development background, I joined the Board of Directors in 2019 as Fundraising Chair.  I’m working hard to raise the bar on our annual giving and reach our stretch goal of $50,000 / 60 Scholarships this year.  

My favorite aspects of our Monthly Luncheons are learning what’s new in our community and meeting speakers, other members and guests.  The variety and quality of our education program and networking activities are exceptional.

How I enjoy SD

Outside of work and volunteering, my favorite activities are spending time with my family – I have two grown sons and a beautiful wife, improving my golf game and enjoying San Diego’s climate and lifestyle.
