We enhance San Diego’s downtown community through scholarships, community service, education and networking.
Our Programs
Friends of Downtown San Diego (FODSD) is a 100% volunteer registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to the enhancement of San Diego’s downtown community. The organization is made up of professionals and residents who work and/or live in the downtown community.
SCHOLARSHIP
We are the largest contributor of single scholarships to San Diego City College. 100% of donations go directly to deserving students in our community.
EDUCATION
We engage guest speakers from our community to share information and perspectives at monthly luncheons to keep you informed.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
We support Serving Seniors and San Diego City College’s Basic Needs Resource Center.
NETWORKING
We hold luncheons, forums and other opportunities to connect with other professionals and downtown residents.
Scholarship Program
Friends of Downtown has awarded over $885,000 in scholarships since 2000 to students of San Diego City College.
